Digital Developer

Fahlgren Mortine is seeking a talented entry-level developer to join our digital team.

The developer will be responsible for supporting client, web-based applications including corporate Internet sites, extranet systems and corporate electronic newsletters as well as on-line campaigns.

Responsibilities may include:

Understand, interpret and implement web-visions and strategies to technical applications
Develop optimized/cross-platform front-end code in CSS/XHTML, JavaScript, Web 2.0 and AJAX
Develop functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts and to enable rapid iterative support for evaluative research
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, designers and software architects to refine the user experience
Complete development and maintenance on web servers
Serve as part of a team on technical projects
Assist in developing and maintaining agency intranet system
Assist with designing and developing page layouts for clients
May work with digital strategist and technical leader to understand and determine if web strategy can be technologically achieved
Understand and deploys new technology to continue to evolve interactive works
Performs QA work for projects

Minimum requirements:

Associates degree in MIS, CIS or related fields
1-3 years previous experience - agency experience is a plus
Previous experience in optimized/cross-platform front-end code in CSS/XHTML, JavaScript, Web 2.0 and AJAX
Photoshop experience (ability to cut assets and make minor design changes)
Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both orally and in writing
Experience using version control systems
Mootools and JQuery skills is a plus
Flash/Flex/ActionScript development skills is a plus
Ruby on Rails skills is a plus
Graphic Design abilities are a plus
Content Management System experience is a plus
