User Interface Developer

Fahlgren Mortine is seeking a talented developer to join our growing and award-winning digital team.

The developer serves as the production and development team member through all phases of a project to implement, deploy and support web sites and online campaigns.

Responsibilities may include:

· Collaborate with the creative team, including design and content.

· Follows code and documentation standards within the project's development team.

· Proactively informs Project Managers of technology related challenges that may cause scope creep on a project

· Participate in and/or help to facilitate both Interactive group and technology domain activities and contribute to both areas.

· Collaborate with the core team to understand, validate and enhance project requirements (creative designs, content, functional specifications, technical specifications and coding standards).

Minimum Requirements

· Associate degree in MIS, CIS, CS related fields

· Experience with System Administration; including,

o linux, apache, mysql

o server provisioning

o DNS and nameserver configuration

o SSL installation and configuration

o Cron job creation, installation and monitoring

o Backup and Restore from files and databases

· 3-5 years experience in one or more of the following languages or scripting

o PHP development and configuration

o Ruby development and configuration

o Capistrano deployment scripting

o Passenger setup

o URL rewrite scripting

o Experience in designing and developing MySQL database

· 3-5 years of working knowledge in the following technologies:

o Linux (specifically, Ubuntu)

o PHP (mostly PHP 5)

o Ruby (mostly REE)

o Rails (many versions - from 1.1 to 2.3)

o MySQL

o Apache2

o Git

o Postfix
